Georgia & Dustin

Bride and Groom

Dustin Bremner

Saying love at first sight is often used when describing meeting your significant other for the first time but I can honestly say that’s how it was the first time I ever laid eyes on Georgia.
She had just moved down to Port Elizabeth to start flight school, a school I had been a cadet at for the past three years and I admitted I was focusing on completing my training before even thinking of finding anyone. That all changed the moment I saw her, standing around a braai in her red cardigan (those of you who know her will know which one I’m talking about).
Over the next year we became closer, conversations grew deeper, glances lingered and during this time I knew this is the person I wanted to spend my life with.

Georgia became more than a friend, she became the person I looked forward to seeing everyday, the voice that settled my nerves, a smile that stayed with me long after the day had ended. I found something rare, a connection I had never experienced before, a connection as natural to me as breathing.

Our story literally began in the sky, a place where people learn to master it, but what we found together was something greater. A love steady enough to weather turbulence and deep enough to carry us across continents and strong enough to carry us through years of long distance.

I never imagined joining a little flight school in Port Elizabeth, where a dream of flying would lead to me meeting my Fiancé and a lifetime that I can’t to share with you.

Georgia Marshall

I met Dustin when I moved to Port Elizabeth, the first time I had moved away from home and we clicked instantly. That year that followed he became my friend, someone who I couldn’t wait to see each day and was disappointed when I didn’t, and I have since found out he would drive into the school just to visit me! It took me a moment, but I quickly realised how much I needed and wanted him in my life, someone to go on long drives with nowhere urgent to be, him doing his best to get me lost, bad weather days spent watching Doctor who and, who patiently helped when asked and never said no.

We started as friends, building something steady and real before either of us realized how much it meant. Through the years of me driving him crazy, teaching him how to be almost as dramatic as me and the numerous challenges of long distance.
He remains the best person I’ve ever met and I cannot wait to say I do!
